Knowledge base articles are not appearing on public customer portal, even though the portal is connected to a Confluence Space
Solution
Knowledge base articles may not appear for two cases, case 1, when viewing knowledge base articles is restricted to only licensed users . Or case 2, when public user doesnt have view access on Knowledge Space in Confluence
Case 1 - Viewing knowledge base articles is restricted to only licensed users
To update viewing access for articles, go to your service desk project and select Project settings > Knowledge base. Permissions can be set in the Access section.
Access should be set for viewing articles in the help center to All active users and customers can access the knowledge base without a Confluence license.
Case 2 - Public user does not have view access on Knowledge Space in Confluence
Public user used on Public Customer Portal should have view access on Confluence Space.
Visit the knowledge base space in Confluence select Space Settings > Permissions. Permission for public user should be set to view only as shown below
